We as adults have forgotten what life is and how to live it. We are so busy in our work that we have stopped enjoying the little moments which can give us happiness. Have you seen your child how they enjoy every moment? As soon as the school gets over the happiness they have on their faces is beyond description. They know that they have to go to school the next day but still they come out of school with happy faces. You know why? Because they don’t carry baggage from one day to the next. Every day is a new start for them. They don’t have the fears of failure or losing. They move forward with hope and keep their desires in mind. They are the hero of their story. Have you noticed that when your kid tells what all happened in school today, they are the main lead of their story. We should be like them. We don’t show our achievements and put ourselves down to make others feel better.
“Be the hero of your life, not the victim”
With age we develop one more quality i.e. of not trying up new things. We become so comfortable in our own world that we don’t want to get out of it and try anything new. We cannot discover anything new unless we try it. Look at your children how easily they mold themselves and are always ready to take up new things whether it is playing a new sport or making new friends, they are so quick. There are so many things which children can teach us. As said by Robert Brault – “Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” Stop hiding your scars show them as the signs of struggle. Don’t worry about tomorrow, tomorrow is not here yet. Enjoy every little moment with your child just like they do. We can be a part of their happiness and make our lives beautiful.
